Hotel and Hospitality Bedbug Control

Protecting guests, reviews and revenue
A single guest report of bedbugs can mean a refund, a damaging online review and rooms out of sale. Every accommodation business is exposed, because guests bring bedbugs in on luggage from wherever they stayed before. What matters is how quickly a problem is detected and how well it is contained.
We work with hotels, guesthouses, serviced apartments, lodges and hostels to respond quickly and discreetly, and to put simple prevention measures in place.
Responding to a guest report
When a guest reports bites or bedbugs:
- Move the guest to a room that is not next to, above or below the affected room, and offer to bag their clothing for laundering.
- Take the room out of service and bag its linen inside the room before it goes onto a trolley.
- Call us. We inspect the reported room and, where needed, the rooms around it.
- Confirmed rooms are treated under the two-treatment programme, with the second treatment six days after the first, and stay out of sale until the programme is complete and the rooms are released.
Our guide on bedbug control for hotels and guesthouses sets out a full response plan you can adapt for your staff.
How we work with accommodation providers
- Discreet attendance, planned around occupancy and guest movements.
- Room-by-room inspection of the affected room and adjoining rooms.
- Treatment planning that takes occupancy, re-entry periods and room turnaround into account.
- Clear records of inspections, findings and treatments for management.
- Housekeeping guidance so staff can recognise early signs during turnaround.
Prevention that pays for itself
- Train housekeeping to check mattress seams, headboards and luggage racks at every turnaround.
- Fit mattress and base encasements so inspection is quick and mattresses are protected.
- Use hard luggage racks away from beds.
- Schedule periodic proactive inspections, particularly for high-turnover rooms.
- Keep a written response plan so the right steps are taken on every shift.
Commercial terms
For hotels and multi-room properties, the quotation reflects the number of rooms, the extent of activity, scheduling requirements and any proactive inspection arrangement. See bedbug control cost for the factors involved, or call us to discuss your property.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How long does professional bedbug treatment take?
The length of each visit depends on the number of rooms, beds and furniture to be treated, and we will give you an estimate when we book. Our standard programme involves two treatment visits six days apart, so the full programme spans about a week, plus any re-entry period stated for the products used.
Will one treatment eliminate bedbugs?
We do not promise that a single visit will eliminate an infestation. Bedbug eggs are more difficult to kill than active bugs, and some insects may be hidden in places that are hard to reach on the first visit.
That is why our core service is a two-treatment programme: a second treatment six days after the first targets bedbugs that survived or hatched in the meantime.
Is a follow-up treatment necessary?
For an active infestation, yes. Our programme includes a second treatment six days after the first because eggs that survived the first visit can hatch into new nymphs. Where the two-treatment programme has been quoted, the second visit is an essential part of the service, not an optional extra.
When can I return to a treated room?
The technician will tell you the re-entry time for your treatment before they leave. It varies with the product label, the method and ventilation, so we do not publish a single re-entry time that applies to every case. Follow the specific instructions you are given.
How much does bedbug control cost in Nairobi?
Residential treatment is charged per visit by the size of your home: studio/bedsitter KSh 4,500, 1 bedroom KSh 5,500, 2 bedrooms KSh 6,500, 3 bedrooms KSh 7,500 and 4 bedrooms KSh 8,500.
Every programme includes two visits, six days apart, so the full programme is twice the per-visit price — for example KSh 13,000 for a 2-bedroom home. Larger homes, hotels and commercial premises are quoted individually. See the price list.
