Professional bedbug treatment in Nairobi

Bedbugs are a common problem in Nairobi homes, flats, hostels and hotels. They arrive on luggage, second-hand furniture and visitors' belongings, and once settled they hide in mattress seams, bed frames and cracks where household sprays rarely reach.

Bedbugs Control Services Kenya is the specialist bedbug service of Pestraid Kenya, based on Argwings Kodhek Road. We concentrate on one pest, and every job follows the same disciplined approach: confirm the problem, plan the treatment, treat in two visits, and leave you with clear aftercare guidance.

What our Nairobi bedbug service includes

  • An initial conversation about the property, affected rooms and what you have seen, so the visit is planned properly.
  • Inspection and assessment of beds, furniture and likely hiding places to confirm activity and judge how far it has spread. See bedbug inspection.
  • A written quotation explaining the recommended approach, preparation, limitations and the guarantee terms.
  • The [two-treatment eradication programme](/two-treatment-bedbug-eradication/) — a first treatment, then a second treatment six days later to target bedbugs that survived or hatched in between.
  • Aftercare and prevention guidance, including re-entry instructions for the products used.

How we choose the treatment method

There is no single treatment that suits every infestation. The technician selects products and methods according to where the bedbugs are, the type of furniture and property, the people living there, and what each product label allows. We do not apply products in ways their labels do not permit, and we do not promise that every infestation will respond in the same way.

Who we treat in Nairobi

  • Offices, hostels and other premises — scheduled around your operations.

Where we work

Our technicians cover Nairobi, including Westlands, Kilimani, Lavington, Karen, Runda, Kileleshwa, Parklands, South B and South C. We also treat properties in Mombasa. For other areas, see areas served or call us to confirm availability.

Before you book: avoid making it worse

  • Do not move bedding, furniture or belongings into other rooms.
  • Do not start sleeping in another room or on the sofa.
  • Do not use paraffin, petrol or agricultural chemicals on beds or indoors.
  • Keep a photo of any evidence you find — it helps us plan.

Our preparation guide explains what to do once your treatment is booked, and the pricing page explains how quotations are worked out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does bedbug control cost in Nairobi?

Residential treatment is charged per visit by the size of your home: studio/bedsitter KSh 4,500, 1 bedroom KSh 5,500, 2 bedrooms KSh 6,500, 3 bedrooms KSh 7,500 and 4 bedrooms KSh 8,500.

Every programme includes two visits, six days apart, so the full programme is twice the per-visit price — for example KSh 13,000 for a 2-bedroom home. Larger homes, hotels and commercial premises are quoted individually. See the price list.

Will one treatment eliminate bedbugs?

We do not promise that a single visit will eliminate an infestation. Bedbug eggs are more difficult to kill than active bugs, and some insects may be hidden in places that are hard to reach on the first visit.

That is why our core service is a two-treatment programme: a second treatment six days after the first targets bedbugs that survived or hatched in the meantime.

How long does professional bedbug treatment take?

The length of each visit depends on the number of rooms, beds and furniture to be treated, and we will give you an estimate when we book. Our standard programme involves two treatment visits six days apart, so the full programme spans about a week, plus any re-entry period stated for the products used.

Do I need to leave the house during treatment?

Usually, yes. People and pets should stay out of the rooms being treated during the treatment and for the re-entry period the technician gives you. That period depends on the products and method used, so it is confirmed for your specific treatment rather than being a fixed number of hours.

Do you offer bedbug control outside Nairobi?

Yes. Nairobi is our main service area, and we also treat properties in Mombasa — see bedbug control in Mombasa. For other locations, call or WhatsApp us with the location and the size of the property, and we will confirm whether a visit can be arranged before giving a quotation. See areas served.

Is a follow-up treatment necessary?

For an active infestation, yes. Our programme includes a second treatment six days after the first because eggs that survived the first visit can hatch into new nymphs. Where the two-treatment programme has been quoted, the second visit is an essential part of the service, not an optional extra.
