Our core service
Bedbug control requires a structured approach. Our programme includes two professional treatments scheduled six days apart, helping address the infestation across the treatment cycle. We stand behind our service with an eradication guarantee subject to the programme's written terms and conditions.
Ask on WhatsAppDay 1 · First treatment
After assessment and your preparation, the technician treats the bed, frame, nearby furniture and identified hiding places, selecting products and methods according to what they find and the product labels.
Day 7 · Second treatment
Six days after the first visit, the second treatment addresses bedbugs that survived or emerged from eggs since the first treatment. It is a planned part of the programme, not an optional extra.
Eradication guarantee. The guarantee applies under the programme's written terms, which set out its duration, what is covered, the preparation required and what happens if bedbugs persist. You receive the terms with your quotation. How the guarantee works

Who you are dealing with
Bedbugs Control Services Kenya is the specialist bedbug service of Pestraid Kenya, the Nairobi pest control and fumigation company. This site focuses on one problem — bedbugs — so you can find detailed guidance on inspection, preparation and treatment in one place.
Every inspection and treatment booked here is carried out by Pestraid Kenya's team, using the same phone line and the same standards of service as its wider residential and commercial pest management work.
Identification
Bedbugs hide during the day and come out to feed at night, so the evidence they leave behind is usually easier to find than the insects themselves. Here is what to look for and where.

Clusters of black or dark-brown dots on mattress seams, sheets and bed-frame joints. These are digested blood and may smear if wiped with a damp cloth.
Pale, empty skins left as nymphs grow, and tiny white eggs about 1 mm long, usually tucked into seams, joints and cracks.
Flat, oval, reddish-brown adults about the size of an apple seed, and smaller pale nymphs, in mattress seams, furniture joints and cracks.
Some people develop itchy red marks, often in lines or clusters, after being bitten. Others have no reaction at all.
Bites alone cannot confirm bedbugs. Mosquitoes, fleas, mites and several skin conditions cause similar marks, and reactions vary from person to person. Look for physical evidence — or ask for a professional bedbug inspection — before treating.
Use a torch and a thin card, and work outward from the bed.

We ask about the property, which rooms are affected, what you have seen and any treatments already tried, so the visit is planned properly.
Evidence-based, room by room
The technician checks beds, furniture and likely hiding places to confirm activity and judge how far it has spread, including adjoining rooms where relevant.
Quotation and written guarantee terms
You get the recommended approach, preparation requirements, the quotation and any limitations explained plainly before work starts — then the two treatments, six days apart.
Aftercare and monitoring advice
Aftercare guidance, re-entry instructions for the products used, and clear advice on monitoring and on whether any further visit is necessary.
Why professional treatment?
Many people try household sprays first. That can help with a very early problem, but established infestations usually need a structured approach.

Adults are about 5 mm long and flat enough to fit into cracks, furniture joints and mattress seams that are hard to see without training and the right tools.
Spraying the bugs you can see rarely reaches eggs and bugs sheltering in the bed frame, skirting or nearby furniture, so activity often returns.
Overuse, mixing products or applying them to bedding and mattresses against label directions can expose your household without improving control.
Results depend on more than the treatment itself. Correct preparation and a planned second visit address bugs that survive or hatch after the first.
An inspection shows which rooms are affected and how far the problem has spread, so treatment is targeted rather than guesswork.

Areas served
Our technicians are dispatched from Pestraid Kenya on Argwings Kodhek Road. We regularly work in neighbourhoods including those listed here, and we also serve Mombasa. Elsewhere? Get in touch with your location and we will confirm whether we can arrange a visit.
Preparation and safety
Preparation depends on the treatment method. You will be told exactly what to do for your property before the first visit.
Bag bedding and clothing as instructed and launder them according to the plan, rather than moving them to other rooms.
Keep them out of treated rooms for as long as the technician directs. Cover or remove fish tanks and pet food if asked to.
Re-entry time depends on the product label, method and ventilation. You will be told the period for your specific treatment.
Do not add your own sprays or powders before or between visits unless the technician agrees. More product does not mean better control.
The product label is a legal document. Professional products are applied only as their labels permit, and so should any household product you use.

FAQ
Residential treatment is charged per visit by the size of your home: studio/bedsitter KSh 4,500, 1 bedroom KSh 5,500, 2 bedrooms KSh 6,500, 3 bedrooms KSh 7,500 and 4 bedrooms KSh 8,500.
Every programme includes two visits, six days apart, so the full programme is twice the per-visit price — for example KSh 13,000 for a 2-bedroom home. Larger homes, hotels and commercial premises are quoted individually. See the price list.
Look for small dark spots along mattress seams and bed-frame joints, pale shed skins, tiny white eggs, and live insects in folds, cracks and furniture joints. A musty smell can occur in heavier infestations.
Itchy marks on the skin alone cannot confirm bedbugs, because other insects and skin conditions cause similar reactions. Our guide on how to identify bedbugs in your mattress and bedroom shows what to check, or book a professional inspection.
The length of each visit depends on the number of rooms, beds and furniture to be treated, and we will give you an estimate when we book. Our standard programme involves two treatment visits six days apart, so the full programme spans about a week, plus any re-entry period stated for the products used.
We do not promise that a single visit will eliminate an infestation. Bedbug eggs are more difficult to kill than active bugs, and some insects may be hidden in places that are hard to reach on the first visit.
That is why our core service is a two-treatment programme: a second treatment six days after the first targets bedbugs that survived or hatched in the meantime.
Usually, yes. People and pets should stay out of the rooms being treated during the treatment and for the re-entry period the technician gives you. That period depends on the products and method used, so it is confirmed for your specific treatment rather than being a fixed number of hours.
Preparation depends on the treatment plan, and you will receive specific instructions before the visit. Common steps include reducing clutter around the bed, bagging bedding and clothing for laundering as directed, and clearing access to bed frames, skirting and furniture.
Please do not move furniture or belongings to other rooms before the visit, as this can spread bedbugs. See our full preparation guide.
Yes. We treat individual apartments and work with landlords, agents and property managers on multi-unit buildings, where inspecting neighbouring units is often important. See commercial and property management bedbug control.
Yes. Nairobi is our main service area, and we also treat properties in Mombasa — see bedbug control in Mombasa. For other locations, call or WhatsApp us with the location and the size of the property, and we will confirm whether a visit can be arranged before giving a quotation. See areas served.
The technician will tell you the re-entry time for your treatment before they leave. It varies with the product label, the method and ventilation, so we do not publish a single re-entry time that applies to every case. Follow the specific instructions you are given.
For an active infestation, yes. Our programme includes a second treatment six days after the first because eggs that survived the first visit can hatch into new nymphs. Where the two-treatment programme has been quoted, the second visit is an essential part of the service, not an optional extra.
In most cases you can keep using your bed once the re-entry period has passed and the technician has confirmed it is safe to do so. Whether a mattress is treated directly, and what you should do afterwards, depends on its condition and on the product labels. Never apply household insecticide to your mattress yourself unless the label clearly permits it.
Inspect second-hand furniture and mattresses before bringing them home, check luggage after travel, reduce clutter around beds, and consider mattress encasements so any new activity is easy to spot. Report any new signs early. Our guide on reducing the risk of bedbugs returning covers this in detail.
